Year 1
Welcome to Year 1
The Year One Team are:
Miss Rai Class Teacher |
Mrs Berry Class Teacher |

I am so excited to start my teaching journey with Manorfield. This is my first teaching post, however I completed my teacher training with two inner Leicester City Schools and a Specialist School. I also have experience working with children who have additional needs.
I love going to the gym and going on walks to keep myself fit. I also enjoy travelling and exploring different cultures.
|
I have been teaching at Manorfield for over 8 years now and I have taught all across the school in EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. My favourite subjects to teach are Phonics and Music and I’m looking forward to teaching about the Victorians too and going on our school trip! There are lots of other exciting topics in Year 1 too.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and going on holiday and exploring new places. I also love to go to the theatre to see different shows and musicals. Matilda and The Lion King are my favourites! I can play the flute and I played at the Barbican in London when I was younger.
