Vision and Ethos

At Manorfield C of E Primary School, every child is part of the Manorfield Family. We aim to offer our children an exciting curriculum, that nurtures a love of learning as well as developing them as individuals. Our staff are caring and consider each child as unique.

The school has a clear vision rooted in Biblical text which has grown out of our context and enables members of the Manorfield community to feel valued and supported.

Our school aims to be inclusive and nurturing, valuing difference and diversity and enabling all pupils and adults to flourish. The attitudes of caring, sharing and inspiring are evident in the daily life of the school and the vision and values are shown through actions of staff and pupils.

Valuing all God’s children is very important at Manorfield and is lived out in practice in day to day life. We are passionate about encouraging a respect for difference, diversity and ways of living and have ensure that this is reflected across the curriculum. This culture is evident in the attitudes of the pupils, one pupil spoken to commented that ‘anyone can be accepted here, we respect your differences.’

Our Christian Vision

A Manorfield pupil is:

An individual with the toolkit needed to independently and cooperatively face 21st Century challenges; literate, numerate, courageous and resilient

‘For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat. I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in. I needed clothes and you clothed me. I was sick and you looked after me. I was in prison and you came to visit me… Truly I tell you whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine you did for me.’ Matthew 25 v35,36,40

As a Church of England school, Christian Values are embedded at the heart of our community. There are seven values that underpin everything we do.

These are: Thankfulness, Forgiveness, Trust, Respect, Compassion, Endurance and Wisdom.  Each year group are ambassadors for their value; learning and teaching others about their value and how we can show it both in and out of school.

Our aim is for our children to leave us in year 6 as Caring, Sharing and Inspiring individuals who will care about themselves and the people and world around them, who will shares their knowledge and fortune with others and be inspired to life-long learning, as well as inspiring and enthusing those around them.
